AVT engineers use SolidWorks® 3D software for vacuum chamber design, which enables rapid visualization of your requirements and quick translation to manufacturing drawings. Also, COSMOSXpress® stress analysis utility helps identify unacceptable chamber wall deformations and weld stresses. These powerful software tools help us deliver products that exceed your performance expectations.

Surface finish is an important aspect of vacuum chambers, impacting both appearance and performance. AVT is an expert at finishing stainless steel and other metals. From mechanical grinding and polishing to chemical passivation or electro-polish, we have the resources to produce the best and most consistent finish your chamber might require.

Advanced Vacuum Chamber Design

Integrated Cooling Options for vacuum systems involving processes with significant thermal output, we provide integrated cooling options such as welded and hydro-formed channels or double-wall designs.  

Dual Ratings for Vacuum and Pressure.  Our engineering group can assist you with design considerations to meet safety and mechanical concerns, including dual rating for ASME/PED pressure requirements. (link to ADI-Vacuum?)

Custom components.  Most chambers include integrated or related components such as baseplates, hinged doors, domed lids, frames and hardware or flanges. Throughout the build process, extreme cleanliness and attention to finish quality are paramount. All welded assemblies are 100% helium leak tested. 

We have Certified Welding Inspectors® (CWI) to review critical weld joints. Final dimensional inspection utilizes our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
