About Applied Vacuum Technology Inc.
Ultra High Vacuum Systems and Vacuum Components
Applied Vacuum Technology has been in business since 1989, and has extensive experience in the UHV region of the vacuum spectrum. We are an OEM supplier to ultra high vacuum system manufacturers of equipment for surface analysis, mass spectroscopy, molecular beam epitaxy, beam lines and thin film deposition.
At Applied Vacuum Technology, Inc., we design and manufacture using
state-of-the-art equipment and processes. Vacuum Designs
are realized using 3D computer aided design software.
Computer aided manufacturing software then quickly
transforms vacuum design files into machining programs that
are fed to our manufacturing facility via a distributed
numerical control network.
Applied Vacuum Technology's manufacturing facility uses highly
automated machinery to efficiently
and accurately machine precision
vacuum components. When
welding is required in the
fabrication process, we have a
staff of ASME certified welders
using pulsed TIG welding equipment.
All welded assemblies are
100 percent inspected using
helium vacuum leak checking
equipment. Finally, vacuum components
are cleaned using a four station,
ultrasonic cleaning line located in
our clean room. By utilizing digital
technology and fabrication
work cells, Applied Vacuum Technology, Inc., is able to reduce
design, programming, set-up, and
run time to deliver vacuum components
that meet your quality vacuum system requirements
on time, every time.

We believe quality begins by clearly understanding the customer's requirements and expectations before beginning the manufacturing process. We know that we can not "inspect" quality into a product after it is completed. Once we understand the requirements of your vacuum system, we monitor the manufacturing process at every step to prevent defects and assure a quality final product. Our manufacturing facility is set up to ensure the best results for your high vacuum system. Our 3D CAD/CAM software allows us to quickly design chambers and to view the chamber from every angle in 3D to discover port interference before the manufacturing process begins. We have TIG welding and Helium leak checking facilities to insure you receive vacuum fittings and chambers ready for your vacuum system. We have demonstrated 10-11 Torr base pressures in our vacuum chambers. |
